Football Recap: Cedar Ridge Raiders vs. Midway Panthers
Cedar Ridge lost against Midway back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders took a blow against the Panthers, falling 58-31. Fields-Vaughn really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew McNair, who threw for 163 yards and one TD while completing 77.8% of his passes.
Cedar Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Midway, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Coming up, Cedar Ridge will face off against Hutto at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th. This will be the Raiders' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Midway, they will square off against Rouse at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,025 yards in their previous games.
