Voyager Academy came into Wednesday's matchup looking for another win against Franklin Academy, but Hayes Lewis wouldn't allow it. The Patriots snuck past the Vikings with a 75-69 victory on Wednesday for which the team can thank Lewis, who dropped a double-double with 26 points and 14 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jacob Barnes, who shot 63% from the field en route to 13 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 45.5% shooting accuracy.

Voyager Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Tristan Gibson and Darin Jones. Gibson went 7-for-12 to rack up 21 points, while Jones posted 20 points. The Vikings are 11-3 when Gibson posts 15 or more points, but 2-4 otherwise. Carlos Green was another key player, shooting 45% from the field on his way to 10 points and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Franklin Academy and bumps their season record up to 17-6. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Voyager Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7.

Franklin Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-59 defeat against NCSSM: Durham on the 6th. As for Voyager Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 76-56 win against Neuse Charter on the 5th.
