Baseball Recap: Riviera Prep Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Coral Park, Riviera Prep was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Miami Country Day Spartans 17-10. The Bulldogs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 31, 2025 (when they won 13-0).

Jordan Fonte was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Brady Feldman was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Riviera Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .553. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in four consecutive games.

Riviera Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Miami Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, Riviera Prep is taking a road trip to take on Downtown Doral at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Dolphins at the right time seeing as the Dolphins are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Miami Country Day, they will welcome Ransom Everglades at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 13.2 runs per game this season.
