Softball Recap: Winn's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest, Winn was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Jay Mustangs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mavericks as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-11. As for Jay, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9.

Coming up, Winn is taking a road trip to challenge Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Winn's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jay, they will challenge Southwest Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jay is facing Southwest Legacy at the right time seeing as Southwest Legacy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
