Andrew Jackson Academy waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Horse Creek Academy Stallions by a score of 5-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 last Monday.

Channing Terry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaiden Kinard and Jack Walling did most of the damage at the plate: Kinard scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Walling scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Kinard has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Brad Hightower also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Andrew Jackson Academy's record now sits at 8-4. As for Horse Creek Academy, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7.

Coming up, Andrew Jackson Academy will take on Colleton Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors are facing the War Hawks at the right time seeing as the War Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Horse Creek Academy, they will square off against Eau Claire at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Shamrocks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.43 runs per game on average), something the Stallions will no doubt try to take advantage of.
