Flag Football Recap: Alameda Comes Up Short

Alameda scored first but ultimately less than Los Gatos in their game on Saturday. They took a 14-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 6-0 in the first quarter.

The critical scores for Los Gatos came from Taylor Payne and Sophie Riese.

Alameda's loss dropped their record down to 8-7-1. As for Los Gatos, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alameda will welcome Mt. Eden at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hornets are facing the Monarchs at the right time seeing as the Monarchs are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Los Gatos, they will host Santa Clara at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
