Makiah Weideman made a splash, striking out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She was dominant the last time she took on Melba back in April of 2024, so they probably should've seen this coming. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her sixth in a row with more than five strikeouts. On the season, Weideman has been strong no matter where she plays. On the mound, she has an ERA of 3.43 over 69.3 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat she has slashed 0.483/0.516/0.776 with 23 runs, plus 11 stolen bases.
