Volleyball Recap: Omaha Northwest Comes Up Short

The Omaha Northwest Huskies came up short against the Norfolk Panthers on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

While Omaha Northwest was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-22, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Meshah Robinson and Samantha Carter, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Makynzie Mclaws and her seven assists. Aubrey Tolbert controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Norfolk to victory were Georgia Kluver and Jocelyn Kuehner. Kluver had 23 digs and five assists, while Kuehner had five aces and four digs. That's the most digs Kluver has posted over her last nine matches.

Omaha Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 19-14. As for Norfolk, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Omaha Northwest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Norfolk, they will challenge Lincoln North Star at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
