Soccer Recap: Twinsburg Finds Playoff Glory Versus Solon

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Twinsburg had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the Solon Comets get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Given Twinsburg's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 11th, while Solon are ranked 89th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Twinsburg's one-goal win came courtesy of Ryan Humberson, who's now up to five this season.

Twinsburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up five goals over those 11 matches. As for Solon, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-6-1.

Twinsburg will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Comets: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
