Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Luther). They took their contest on Saturday with ease, bagging a 79-46 win over the Marietta Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Lions have posted since December 6, 2024.

Luther's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Azayah Skannal, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Skannal a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Gavin Milligan, who went 5 of 12 en route to 24 points.

With the win, Luther broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10. As for Marietta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Luther and Marietta could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. Luther (ranked 199th) will meet Crooked Oak (ranked 17th) at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Marietta will square off against Dickson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 237 places (355 vs. 118).
