Softball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Farmersville Aztecs, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly ten runs.

Josie Johnson and Lucy Gillies stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Gillies went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Farmersville, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Legacy Christian Academy will welcome Kings Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Farmersville, they will take on Wonderful College Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Aztecs are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
