Basketball Game Preview: Jackson County Blue Devils vs. Watertown Purple Tigers

The Jackson County Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Watertown Purple Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jackson County has 12 straight wins, Watertown has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Tuesday, Jackson County strolled past Clay County with points to spare, taking the game 58-43.

Meanwhile, Watertown lost to Smith County on the road by a 51-32 margin on Monday.

Jackson County pushed their record up to 21-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points over those games. As for Watertown, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Everything came up roses for Jackson County against Watertown when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 68-32 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
