Basketball Recap: Jones Fightin' Tigers vs. Leesburg Yellow Jackets
Jones was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Leesburg Yellow Jackets, falling 64-44. The Fightin' Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Jones' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Leesburg, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones will welcome Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Leesburg, they will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leesburg has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
