Softball Preview: Bremond Tigers vs. Kerens Bobcats

The Bremond Tigers will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Kerens Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.

Bremond scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Granger 21-1. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Even though Kerens couldn't quite topple LaPoynor on Friday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the nine-point defeat they took when the two last played. Everything went Kerens' way against LaPoynor as Kerens made off with a 13-3 victory. The win was just what Kerens needed coming off of a 10-1 loss in their prior contest.

Brooke Sikes and Olivia Holt did most of the damage at the plate: Sikes scored two runs while going 3-for-4, while Holt scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Kayla Gonzales was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Bremond's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Kerens, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.
