Iola-Scandinavia came tearing into Tuesday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Shiocton Chiefs. The game was the first time the Thunderbirds have beaten the Chiefs on their court since October 7, 2017.

Iola-Scandinavia wouldn't go down easily and took Shiocton into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 24-26, 17-15.

The win got Iola-Scandinavia back to even at 12-12. As for Shiocton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Iola-Scandinavia will welcome St. Mary Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shiocton, they will square off against Clintonville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
