Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Maclay

Maclay strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Marianna Bulldogs as they made off with a 33-7 victory. For the Marauders, this counts as revenge for the 39-7 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Beau Beshears had a dynamite game, throwing for 336 yards and three TDs, while also rushing for 46 yards and one touchdown. Those 336 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anthony White, who gained 111 total yards and two touchdowns.

Maclay's record is now 3-0. As for Marianna, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Maclay will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Valwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marianna, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
