Soccer Game Preview: Greenville vs. Hillcrest

The Greenville Red Raiders will venture away from home to square off against the Hillcrest Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenville will be strutting in after a win while Hillcrest will be coming in after a loss.

Greenville will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Woodmont on Tuesday. The Red Raiders put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 4-1 victory. Greenville haven't had any issues with Woodmont recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to Mauldin. Hillcrest have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Greenville pushed their record up to 6-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
