Hackettstown lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lenape Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 9-0 shutout on Saturday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Tyler Lambo was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Jacob Echandy was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Hackettstown's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Lenape Valley, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10.
