Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the Bob Jones Patriots, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-3 loss on Saturday.

Austin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Potter, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Austin's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Bob Jones, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Austin didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-6 victory against Brewer on the 7th. As for Bob Jones, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Lauderdale County on the 8th.
