Basketball Recap: Lucas Comes Up Short

Lucas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hillsdale Falcons 65-26. The contest marked the Cubs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Lucas lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Braydon Francis, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Zac Winters, who had 11 points and seven rebounds.

Lucas' loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Hillsdale, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lucas will welcome Crestline at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Crestline will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lucas surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillsdale, they will host Chippewa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
