Basketball Recap: Grants Pass Piles Up the Points Against South Eugene

Grants Pass won the last time they faced South Eugene and things went their way on Friday too. The Grants Pass Cavemen blew past the South Eugene Axe 66-23. The Cavemen have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Grants Pass has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.3 points over those games. As for South Eugene, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grants Pass will face off against South Medford at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Eugene, they will square off against Willamette at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Willamette will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something South Eugene surely won't give up without a fight.
