Volleyball Recap: Jserra Catholic Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Santa Margarita

JSerra Catholic faced Santa Margarita in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

JSerra Catholic was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Santa Margarita work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 26-24.

Despite the loss, JSerra Catholic still got an impressive performance from Darren Chi, who had 11 digs. Chi has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last five times he's played.

This is the second loss in a row for JSerra Catholic and nudges their season record down to 16-7. As for Santa Margarita, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-8.
