            Baseball Preview: Cathedral Green Wave vs. Hattiesburg Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            For the second straight game, Cathedral will face off against Hattiesburg. The Green Wave will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Cathedral is coming into the  game on  a  three-game losing streak.
Last Monday, Cathedral came up short against Hattiesburg  and fell  8-4.
For Hattiesburg's part,  JB Bryant tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Tyler Weatherspoon and  Jacob Polk did most of the damage at the plate:  Weatherspoon  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances, while  Polk  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.  Hattiesburg is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Cathedral, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
