After having lost a blowout in their previous game against KIPP Navigate College Prep, Mountain View Academy was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Latino College Preparatory Academy Golden Eagles. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Golden Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

While Mountain View Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-24, 25-13.

Sephora Camacho paced Mountain View Academy's offense, picking up seven kills. Camacho got some help from Myka Chan and her 21 assists. Taylor Mackey controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mountain View Academy now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Latino College Preparatory Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mountain View Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Luis Valdez Leadership Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Latino College Preparatory Academy will square off against rival Summit Tahoma at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
