Meanwhile, Lake Nona came up short against East River on Friday and fell 42-29. The Lions have struggled against the Falcons recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Cypress Creek's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Lake Nona, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Cypress Creek strolled past Lake Nona when the teams last played back in January by a score of 39-23. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cypress Creek since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
