Recap: Marion County Eagles vs. Southland Academy Raiders
The Marion County Eagles lost against the Southland Academy Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Marion County received a tough blow as they fell 54-37 to Southland Academy. Marion County has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Marion County's loss came despite strong showings from Sage Davis and Valencia Alridge. Davis scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals, while Alridge scored 9 points along with 6 steals.
Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southland Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion County will take on Hawkinsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southland Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest Georgia Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Monday.
