Softball Recap: Mt. Vernon-Enola Drops Highest Score of Season Against White County Central

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Vernon-Enola). They put the hurt on the White County Central Bears with a sharp 18-8 victory on Tuesday. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Mt. Vernon-Enola pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for White County Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Mt. Vernon-Enola will head out to face off against Guy-Perkins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.17 runs per game on average), something the Warhawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for White County Central, they will challenge Central Arkansas Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
