Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Nick Madsen and Wake Rolwing Lead GV Christian to Victory

GV Christian lost to White Pine last Thursday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The GV Christian Guardians secured a 48-44 W over the White Pine Bobcats. That's two games straight that the Guardians have won by exactly four points.

GV Christian was led to victory by Wake Rolwing and Nick Madsen. Rolwing went 7 of 17 on his way to 21 points, while Madsen dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Rolwing continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Johnson, who posted five points and nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why White Pine lost, don't look at Mo Van Tassell. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards. Zephen Nicholes was another key player, putting up ten points.

The win made it two in a row for GV Christian and bumps their season record up to 9-14. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. As for White Pine, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

GV Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-43 loss against Founders Classical Academy on the 4th. As for White Pine, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 64-25 victory against Adelson on the 3rd.
