Baseball Recap: Columbus Catholic Comes Up Short

Columbus Catholic extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping their season record down to 4-5 in the process. They came up short against the Loyal Greyhounds, falling 12-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Saturday.

As for Loyal, the win keeps they at an undefeated 9-0. Considering they have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

For Loyal's part, Colton Sandelier was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Hunter Walter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Columbus Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-3 victory against Gilman on the 6th. As for Loyal, they have also already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Thorp on the 6th.
