Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks vs. Adrian Blackhawks

The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks will venture away from home to square off against the Adrian Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Pleasant Hill got the win against Warrensburg by a conclusive 52-29. The Roosters/Chicks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Adrian narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Clinton 53-50. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Cardinals are ranked 250th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pleasant Hill pushed their record up to 8-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.2 points per game. As for Adrian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Pleasant Hill came up short against Adrian in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 48-36. Can Pleasant Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
