Softball Recap: Tyler Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Tyler's offense. They came up short against the St. Marys Blue Devils on Friday, falling 8-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-8 back in March.

Tyler has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for St. Marys, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Tyler will square off against South Harrison at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Knights are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for St. Marys, they will take on Ontario at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
