Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Central

Central not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Westwood Panthers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win was nothing new for the Cobras as they're now sitting on three straight.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Central was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-6, 25-8.

Mikenzie Langen had a dynamite game, getting ten assists and nine aces. Those nine aces gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Clements, who had ten assists and six aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Central was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive contests.

The victory got Central back to even at 9-9. As for Westwood, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.

Central has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Lincoln Park Academy on the 1st. As for Westwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Morningside Academy on the 30th.
