Basketball Recap: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley won against Chisholm two weeks ago with 87 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves put the hurt on the Sebeka Trojans with a sharp 87-61 victory. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 26 points or more this season.

Sebeka's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max Lake, who posted 12 points and seven assists. That's the most assists Lake has posted since back in January of 2024. Trevin Lee was another key player, putting up eight points.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.4 points per game. As for Sebeka, their record is now 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley will challenge Blackduck at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley is facing Blackduck at the right time seeing as Blackduck is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Sebeka, they are taking a road trip to square off against Henning at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Henning knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Sebeka likes a good challenge.
