Basketball Recap: Green Mountain Takes a Loss

Green Mountain and Bellows Falls squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Green Mountain had to settle for second. They took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bellows Falls Terriers. The defeat continues a trend for the Chieftains in their meetings with the Terriers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Bellows Falls found their leader in sophomore Abby Nystrom, who posted 14 points along with six boards and three steals. That's the most rebounds Nystrom has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Laura Kamel, who earned eight points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

Green Mountain now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Bellows Falls, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

As of now, neither Green Mountain nor Bellows Falls have any future games scheduled.
