Soccer Recap: Colony Takes a Loss

Colony lost against Diamond Ranch back in January of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Colony Titans fell just short of the Diamond Ranch Panthers by a score of 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Titans came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Panthers are ranked 409th).

Colony's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Diamond Ranch, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colony will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centennial at 3:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Diamond Ranch and Covina will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on December 27th. Diamond Ranch's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
