Volleyball Recap: Live Oak Classical Takes a Loss

Live Oak Classical was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waco Lions. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2020.

Live Oak Classical's offense was headlined by Kenley Wilson and Stella Sriram, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Mia Flynn and her three assists.

Live Oak Classical's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Waco, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Live Oak Classical has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against La Vega on the 23rd. As for Waco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Hillsboro on the 22nd.
