Volleyball Recap: Herlong Takes a Loss

If Herlong was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Elk Creek on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings fell just short of the Paradise Adventist Academy Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Herlong wouldn't go down easily and took Paradise Adventist Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-19, 25-10, 15-25, 16-14.

Herlong's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Paradise Adventist Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Herlong is set to take on their familiar foe Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Paradise Adventist Academy will square off against rival Loyalton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
