Beecher put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Ottawa Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since April 22nd.

Not much got past Taylor Norkus, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Ottawa off the board. Norkus has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beecher's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Liliana Irwin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Beecher's win bumped their record up to 24-0. As for Ottawa, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beecher will challenge Providence Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Ottawa, they will face off against Geneseo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
