They walked away with a 41-28 victory over Oasis Christian. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Giselle Katzmann continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 steals. Katzmann is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Sophie Dalen, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-6, which was the final score in Solid Rock Community's tilt against the Lions last Thursday. Solid Rock Community has struggled against the Lions recently, as their game last Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Geneva Classical Academy pushed their record up to 9-4 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Solid Rock Community, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Geneva Classical Academy against the Sea Shepherds in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-17 win. With Geneva Classical Academy ahead 39-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
