Softball Recap: Christian Home Educators Fellowship's Run of Ten Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Christian Home Educators Fellowship unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against the Good Samaritan HomeSchool Hornets, falling 16-10. The loss was the Patriots' first of the season.

Kayme Bonin stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Julia Essick, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.

Having lost for the first time this season, Christian Home Educators Fellowship fell to 3-1. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Coming up, Christian Home Educators Fellowship will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Good Samaritan HomeSchool, they will square off against Zavalla at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Good Samaritan HomeSchool knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Zavalla likes a good challenge.
