Volleyball Game Preview: Newberry Panthers vs. McKeel Academy Wildcats

The Newberry Panthers will head out to take on the McKeel Academy Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Newberry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Everything went their way against Keystone Heights as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, McKeel Academy got the win against Windermere Prep on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

McKeel Academy's win came from a few key players Newberry will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Presley Johnson, who had 15 digs and ten aces. Those ten aces gave her a new career-high. Hope Ring was another key player, getting four aces and one assist.

McKeel Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windermere Prep only served seven.

Newberry's record is now 19-8. As for McKeel Academy, their record now sits at 16-8.
