Soccer Game Preview: Bartlett vs. Geneva

Bartlett is 1-7-1 against Geneva since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hawks will face off against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Bartlett is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against West Chicago on Wednesday. The Hawks fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. That's two games in a row now that Bartlett have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, Geneva was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of St. Charles North. While losing is never fun, Geneva can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 125th, while St. Charles North are ranked 45th).

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 4-11-4. As for Bartlett, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6-4.
