Volleyball Recap: Savannah Comstock Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Southern Wayne + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Hunt, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against the Southern Wayne Saints on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hunt took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10, 25-11.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hunt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Savannah Comstock, who had 24 assists. That's the most assists Comstock has posted since back in September of 2024.

Hunt was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive contests.

Hunt's record is now 6-10. As for Southern Wayne, their defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coming up, Hunt will take on Southern Nash at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southern Wayne, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Rocky Mount on the 25th.
