Basketball Recap: Clarke Takes a Loss

Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-34 loss at the hands of the Elmont Memorial Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 702nd, while the Spartans are ranked 342nd).

Clarke's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Elmont Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarke will host Sewanhaka at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Elmont Memorial, they will square off against South Side at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans will need to watch out since the Cyclones have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
