Erath put their dominant defense on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the St. Martinville Tigers get on the board and left with a 45-0 win. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 28 points or more this season.

Erath's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games. As for St. Martinville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Erath is set to square off against their familiar foe Kaplan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Martinville will face off against rival Abbeville at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st.
