York had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the A.C. Flora Falcons by a score of 7-4 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their 19th in a row.

Layla Clayton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kayla Johnson, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Marisa Reyes, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

York's victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for A.C. Flora, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 23-6.

York will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Friday.
