Softball Recap: Paducah Tilghman Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Paducah Tilghman barely beat Ballard Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado put the hurt on the Ballard Memorial Bombers with a sharp 11-1 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Blue Tornado, who have now won three matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mia Bobbitt made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

In other batting news, Audreya White was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Camrynn McMinn, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Paducah Tilghman was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .320 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Paducah Tilghman pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Ballard Memorial, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paducah Tilghman will host Carlisle County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ballard Memorial, they will welcome Crittenden County at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
