Recap: Lift for Life Academy vs. Collinsville Kahoks
Lift for Life Academy suffered their biggest loss since November 22, 2023 on Wednesday. They were outmatched by Collinsville on the road and fell 76-44. While losing is never fun, Lift for Life Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 297th in Missouri, while Collinsville is ranked seventh in Illinois).
Collinsville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamorie Wysinger out in front who scored 22 points. Nick Horras was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five assists.
Lift for Life Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Collinsville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-2.
Lift for Life Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Belleville West at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Belleville West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. As for Collinsville, they will take on McCluer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
