Knox and Garrett squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Knox had to settle for second. They and the Garrett Railroaders were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 41-40 defeat. The Redskins' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Calder Hefty continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Garrett, throwing for 222 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes, while also rushing for 87 yards on only 11 carries. Hefty got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 68 yards. 87 of Hefty's passing yards were hauled in by Brayden Nusbaum.
Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Garrett, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.
Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Garrett, they will head out to face off against Fort Wayne Bishop Luers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garrett is looking to tack on another W to their eight-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
