Basketball Game Preview: Leavitt Hornets vs. Morse Shipbuilders

The Leavitt Hornets are taking a road trip to face off against the Morse Shipbuilders at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Morse took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Leavitt, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Leavitt turned things around against Lincoln Academy on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 54-47.

Meanwhile, Morse took a blow against Erskine Academy on Thursday, falling 69-34. The loss continues a trend for the Shipbuilders in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Leavitt's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Morse, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-11.

Everything went Leavitt's way against Morse when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Leavitt made off with a 46-26 victory. Will Leavitt repeat their success, or does Morse have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
